Admissions Requirements
Please carefully review the admissions requirements and academic standards below before beginning the application process.
It is expected that at least one parent or legal guardian meet the following:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as Lord and Savior, and has a commitment to Christian education
- Is committed to co-labor with the school in the education and discipleship of his or her child(ren)
- Accompanies his or her child(ren) to church weekly. In addition, students in grades 6-12 are strongly encouraged to attend youth group weekly.
- Parent(s) or guardian(s) have legal custody of the child(ren) and the child(ren) reside in the household for the majority of the time.
- At least one parent or guardian resides in the household. If two reside in the household, they must be a legally married man and woman.

The academic standard of admission to Boca Christian requires prospective students to achieve FSA scores of Level 3 or higher in Reading, Math, and Language, or a minimum of the 50th national percentile in each of the following areas: Total Reading, Total Math, Total Language, and Complete Battery, as indicated by their most recent achievement tests such as the Terra Nova Achievement Test, the Iowa Achievement Test, or another nationally normed standardized achievement test. Prospective students must have a minimum of 50th national percentile in Total Reading and Total Math on our entrance test. Teacher evaluations and report cards must show that the student is an independent learner and can be successful in a traditional classroom environment.
NOTE: Please be aware that a parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education-related services that the student would receive if enrolled in public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Please have the following email addresses and documents ready to be uploaded with your online application:
- Referral Documents: 2 teacher recommendations (Math & English preferred) and 1 church recommendation. (Email addresses will be required on the application.)
- Student Questionnaire (emailed to the parent and completed by student). This is an opportunity for the student to introduce themself.
- Up-to-date Florida Immunization Form DH 680 – TYPED (all grades)
- Up-to-date Florida Student Health Examination Form DH 3040 (all grades)
- Certified copy of birth certificate (all grades)
- Copy of end-of-year report cards for the previous two years (required grades 2-12, optional K5 & 1st)
- Current year report card (required all grades except K3 & K4)
- MS/HS copy of unofficial transcripts (request from your current school’s guidance office)
- Copy of the most recent standardized test scores (required grades 5-12, optional grades 1-4)
- Application Submission:
Submit the completed application form and all required documents, including church recommendation forms and teacher recommendations. Admissions decisions for applications submitted by the Early Decision deadline of December 15 are released each February. Applications received after December 15 are reviewed on a rolling basis until all spots are filled. - Testing and Evaluation:
Candidates are required to undergo admissions testing after submitting the application. Once our Admissions Office receives all documentation, we will contact applicants to schedule testing. - Interview Process:
Selected applicants’ parents will be invited for an interview with a member of the Admissions team. The interview is an opportunity to discuss the applicant’s interests, goals, and fit for our school community. Students in 5th-12th grade will also be interviewed. - Additional Admission Consideration:
Applications received after the Early Decision deadline or incomplete by December 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Admission decisions for these applicants will depend on space availability in the desired grade level. - Enrollment: Parents have one week from the date of acceptance to complete the enrollment process and submit the required enrollment fee.

Spiritual Commitment
One parent or guardian must profess faith in Jesus Christ, agree with the school’s Statement of Faith, and provide a Christian testimony. It is preferred that both parents provide written faith testimonies. Students (and at least one parent) must regularly attend a Christ-centered church, as indicated by the Pastor Recommendation form.
Academic Standards
The academic standard of admission to Boca Christian requires prospective students to achieve FSA scores of Level 3 or higher in Reading, Math, and Language, or a minimum of the 50th national percentile in each of the following areas: Total Reading, Total Math, Total Language, and Complete Battery, as indicated by their most recent achievement tests such as the Terra Nova Achievement Test, the Iowa Achievement Test, or another nationally normed standardized achievement test. Prospective students must have a minimum of 50th national percentile in Total Reading and Total Math on our Iowa entrance test. Teacher evaluations and report cards must show that the student is an independent learner and has the ability to be successful in a traditional classroom environment.
Final report cards must show a consistent effort with no drop in academic or behavioral performance.
Students must be five years old by September 1st to enter Kindergarten.
Behavioral Standards
Students and parents must be in good standing with the current school.
Teacher evaluations and report card behavioral marks must be favorable.
Students and parents must not have exhibited disruptive behavior to the school or community.
Students and parents must exhibit behavior, both in and out of school, consistent with Boca Christian’s Christian values.
Financial Responsibilities
Families who previously withdrew from Boca Christian and did not fulfill their tuition contract must clear all financial obligations before an admissions application will be accepted.
All financial obligations to Boca Christian must be kept current.
If the student is transferring from another private school, a note on school letterhead may be required stating that financial obligations have been cleared.
Note: If a student’s report card, transcript, test scores, or other information provided on the application (including but not limited to student and family church attendance) shows that the applicant will not meet the Boca Christian admissions criteria at this time, the admissions process is stopped. Out of respect for the applicant, a member of our Admissions team will notify the parents that the process has been stopped. Applicants are welcome to re-apply when criteria are met.
Yes, you may submit an application before visiting, but you are more than welcome to attend one of our monthly Open Houses. Either way, please review the application requirements and our Statement of Faith, and note that the application fee is non-refundable.
Yes, we offer extended school after regular school hours. For additional information and fees, please contact the main office.
