History

Boca Raton Christian School was founded in 1973 as a ministry of Boca Raton Community Church.

The school was first accredited in 1978 by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. It added a second accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International in 1987. In 1995, accreditation with the Florida Kindergarten Council was received. BRCS was accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/AdvancEd in 2010. In 1990 and again in 1997, the school was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School.

The K3-12 campus is situated on approximately 22 acres in downtown Boca Raton. The main school building was built in 1978 and a classroom/office wing was added in 1993. In that same year the church built a Recreation and Athletic Center which has provided a gymnasium for the school. Six more classrooms were added to the east wing in 1998. In 1999, the high school opened on the grounds of Community Real Community Church, now Calvary Chapel Boca Raton. In 2008 the two campuses were consolidated on the Boca Raton Community Church grounds and a new 3-1 athletic field was completed. Two modulars were added in 2011.
